Abigail Balmforth was a very polite model, a pleasure to work with, and one I look forward to working with again soon.

Whats been going on? – Well since the last post, I have had a studio session (1 Famiy and 1 model -The model decided not to turn up, an has not resonded to comms since) and a night out in Leeds/holbeck. also been on Steam trains (have I mentioned that before?) – and the weekend just gone, we went to Ayesgarth Falls.
I have a fairbit of processing to do, with a backlog of work, but I am concentrating on the Paid work first.
As the model didn’t turn up to studio session, by fortune my good friend Phil popped by, on his way back from a weekend trip. as luck would have it, his fiance was with him, along with a selection of clothes from the weekend. So we asked/cajoled/bullied her into modeling for a shot time (1hr30min) – pictures on flickr
The Family shoot was stessful, but we got approx 100 really nice images for them.
Then the night in leeds, my images are up on Flickr, which I threw up as good on first glance, I am processing more of them, and they will trickle into my main galeris on this site as I process them.
We have also been on the Steam train between Pickering and Whitby, which have yet to be pocessed, and this weekendgone we went toysegarth Falls – again I have a few to process.
News just in: The Escort RS picture is going to be used on a website – woo hoo, details to follow:

Escort-RS
Originally uploaded by jonnywoo
Well the friendly meeting of like minded photographers took place last week, at Showcase Cinema and later JJB car park. There was a good turn out of friends.
I only managed a couple of what I would class as decent shots, mainly due to Sinusitis – and generally feeling pretty crappy.
The Escort RS is one of them, and the other is Matthews car, but at this time, I have yet to process that one.
I had a studio session booked this weekend, which due to my illness I cancelled, shame really, as I have been looking forward to the sessions. Next weekend I have a family and a relatively new model to shoot, so that should be interesting.
Anyway, enjoy the car, and toodle pip for now.

Bit late I guess, but Morley Camera Club suffered a setback, so the club is no more, and has been replaced by a meeting of like minded friends instead. Much less bother, more freeform and importantly fun. Especially given the ‘organisers have full time day jobs also!
I believe one or two old members have issues with how it was being ‘managed’ or steered – but to be fair it was a new fresh club, and I for one believe we were on the right track. In some ways it’s a shame. In others it does mean we get to do whats important to us all, take photos, and not get bogged down in politics. Like there isn’t enough of that in ‘real’ life

Bit of Work
Originally uploaded by jonnywoo
At the meeting of Morley Camera Club 21/5/09 – along with entry/judging of Competition#2 we took the opportunity of nice weather / light evening to do some shooting outside.
The picture below was my best of the evening, and here you can see the before (out of Camera) version, and my Processed version. I truly think the processing on this suits the image.
As ever C&C welcome.

Well, I have put a new gallery on the site for Family and Lifestyle portraiture. I have literally thousands of shots to go through, so I will be refining the content over the coming months (it will take that long)

Dear All,
Seems MCC website is down, but I have created a Flickr group Morley Camera Club, it’s by invitation only open to everyone.
***UPDATE 23/5/09***
The server for MCC has been moved to a new host, as should now be much more stable.

Hi, welcome to this weeks update:
I Shot Rachelle_UK again last Wednesday in the studio, so far only have had chance to PP one image and that’s on my Flickr site, there are still a few good ones to get processed and on here, when I get time (aiming to have this done by mid week).
This last weekend has been a real mixed bag, Didn’t do any shooing on Saturday (in actual fact Saturday turned out strange – seemed to be really busy but not get much done) – well I got a Hair cut, bought some Magazines for reference, and we went to a kids party late afternoon, followed by Tea and then out to an Adults party. (I am tired already)
Sunday – Went to ISL Studios in Leeds for a shoot with Catherine Rushworth. I shot Catherine at the Urban Portraiture Training with Mark Skeet and Phil Winterbourne, so I had already met her, and seen an outfit which I didn’t manage to shoot her in on that day, having mentioned this to the guys at the Studio she brought it along, so I got my shots
. Catherine worked up to Art Nude level, a new Genre for me. Watching some of the other guys, work and how they go about it was the real benefit to me and something I hope to take forward.
I have still got an idea going on in my mind, involving a pair of Black feather wings, and a Samurai sword (honest it’ll look great – it does in my head anyway)
Also looking to do some Urbex/derelict building shooting, with a model if possibly, trying to sort the access out, as I would rather we have permission, than to try and ‘trespass’ at least that way I don’t have to go bolting with my kit, or worse leave any behind. I will post more pictures/details/rubbish as I come across it.
