We had the Pleasure of Josie Evans in the studio last week, she was a fab. model, and one I want to work with again soon.

Next time, I need to theme my shoot, which I am planning to do for one this week coming, that way both me and the model know what were doing, and we maximise the time getting that, rather than lots of shots.

THAT SAID, we have been pretty good with the shots, and I can see great improvements myself, just that we sometimes drift in ideas as we test them, and the fail massively :(

And our last shoot in the Studio saw Beckiiimay, a model that has sot with a number of the great yorkshire photographers, I have had to stop following one of them, because it was implied (by others) that my (and indeed Our) work was becoming a copy of it.

Well itwasn’t entirely what was being aimed at, but in an attempt to learn some of the style, we have had to imitate, to see how it’s done.

Anyway, I firmly believe my style (an the other 2 in the studio) has developed considerably recently, and whilst we get similar shots when working together, we all interpret them differently.

This gives us similar looking poses, with different looking end results.

Thanks for looking and reading.

After a few failed attempts to get Danni into the Studio, she came in at last minute, and what an absolute star she was. we had a great fun shoot, and got some superb images, I think a step above what had been before.

I can see myself the improvements in the work, and hope that this will continue.

It’s been a While…..Again

Well, MUCH has changed since my last post! – The studio is well under way, yes it’s not finished, but it is a working studio, and generally the feedback we get is good.

The website http://www.serenity-studios.co.uk has been re-vamped, still needs some work, but getting there.

I have done some great work in there (IMHO) and love having our own space, where we can experiment, and feel that my images have improved massively, and keep improving with each shoot. For some of my Images check out my Flickr stream, new stream in progress, so see here first, when I ‘Release it’

London Fashion Weekend – Spring/Summer 2010

Myself and David Rothera went to London Fashion weekend for Spring/Summer 2010. We had a great day, if a little busy!

Both of us getting more than 1000 pictures of the catwalk shows. whilst working on this, we had a sneak peak into Britains Next Top Model – keep your eyes peeled on the show, you might see some photographers you know appearing on there ;) (with any luck)

Pictures will be on here in a seperate gallery as and when I get chance, and will post a link to Davids here also.

Studio Update

Author: jonathan  /  Category: Uncategorized

Well, the studio is coming along great. we have a model changing room built now, with some finishing touches only to add. Then we can get on with the kitchenette changes and the seating area layout. In the mean time we have lots of scope for shoots.

Up to now we have (between us) had 20 shoots in the studio, all of which giving pleasing results, to both client and the relevant photographers. It’s amazing how having your own space seems to help with the creative juices.  The ability to utilise the surroundings really help.

See http://www.flickr.com/jonnywoo for some recent examples of work:

** Current offer – £10 for a family portraiture session for up to 3 members, £10 per additional member – with prints available at Serenity Studios published rates – email me for details or to book in **

New Studio

Well,I have not posted a while, but since mid December I have been working on a little project (Serenity Studios Ltd) with Daniel Richardson, and David Rothera.  We are now the proud owners of our own Studio space – at over 800Sq.Ft. we have lots of space, and nice features.

Jump over to my Flickr stream to see the results, but more will appear here before long.

Tere is a new site also www.serenity-studios.co.uk dedicated to the Studio.  We will each continue to work on our own projects, but colaboration work in the Studio is also going to increase, and hopefully this will hel; us save money on studio rental, but increase our Studio use.

The business will also be offering Portraiture for individuals or Famalies at reasonable rates, certainly competing on quality with the likes of Venture.  Feel free to contact me for samples of our works.

We had a shoot (Myself, Daniel R, and David R) predominently based around ideas of bokeh and light, I took inspiration from Dustin Diaz on Flickr. He has some great images.

Anyway, I think we did a good job, with all 3 of us getting some great images.

Planning the next shoot soon
